Spiritual pressure in our life. Some types of spiritual pressure.

In the story with Jesus’ desciples (Matthew 26:37-43) we see a kind of spiritual pressure such as falling into a sleep. In the result of pressure sleep came which made the disciples inactive. If the Lord simply left them and didn’t ask to pray for Him nobody would mind their sleeping. But because they fell into a sleep three times it means the disciples felt a spiritual pressure which made them fall into a sleep.

 

Personal example: I noticed more than once that on my way from Kiev to Crimea there were several places in different regions and locations when I felt pressure each times I passed by, and my eyes were closed and I was about to fall into asleep. And it didn’t matter if I was tired or not if I prayed or not — I just felt a big pressure to make me fall into a sleep. I had about 12 or 15 tours to and back and each time it was the same pressure.

The same situation was with Jesus’ disciples in the garden. I will say more, that many car accidents happen in the world because the driver just fell asleep because of a spiritual pressure. And a plane crash which happened not so long ago was of the same reason I believe. A demon just pressed to make you tired.

 

But it’s only one type of a spiritual pressure. I will just tell you what I experienced in my own life.

For example I am very short of money or my salary is delayed — and most often the reason is spiritual pressure.

All of a sudden people start to oppose you or irritation comes in your work, or in your family, or in the church — it’s a spiritual pressure.

You fall ill and doctors don’t know the reason, or you just suddenly fall ill or your circumstances led you to illness — it’s a spiritual pressure.

You were captured by a desire to have a smoke, to drink alcohol, or you just felt lustful thoughts and no sense in life — it’s a spiritual pressure.

You lost your wallet or somebody robbed it, or you just left it somewhere — it’s a spiritual pressure.

 

I am wondering around to find a house which is very close to me but I can’t find it, the devil blinded me — it’s a spiritual pressure.

You must go to the church but you can’t find the keys, or your car got flat, or you can’t find a wallet — it’s a spiritual pressure.

 

When I started my ministry I remember very well that after several night prayers the regular wheel and spare wheel of my car both got flat. I had to go 40 kilometers on a flat wheel.

And it happened several times. I remember very well that the starter broke several times and my friends pushed the car together with me to make it go. And all this was during one year. For many times I didn’t have gasoline because I was short of money, and then I had to go by foot in winter or to push the car to the gasoline station. There are not enough fingers on my arms and feet to count all such cases. When we prayed for the first time to ruin the occult forces during the night prayer, in the morning on my way home I suddenly noticed my engine was short of oil. And it was not because God wanted to test my faith. But I had enough faith to overcome it.

 

Machines and also domestic animals can also feel a spiritual pressure.

 

A pastor told that because of one so-called «spiritual brother» he took a credit. And then this «spiritual brother» escaped with the money and pastor had to earn money for many years to return the credit, going through «fire and red-hot arrows» — I mean he had to work really hard.

Children or a husband (a wife) can become an instrument of a spiritual pressure.

You can’t get concentrated, you can’t fall asleep till morning, you feel depression, pity for your relative who died, you feel angry against God, you can’t find the things which are close to you, just before your eyes, you lose orientation in time, you must make very big efforts doing the things, which you usually do very easily.

 

For sure sometimes God will let some situations happen to discipline us or to set us free from something. But in most cases (as it was with disciples) it’s just a spiritual pressure on us.

 

So now we know there can be negative pressure on our flesh or even on church which leads to certain consequences. But the good news is that we can stand against it with the help of our faith, the Word of God and prayer. Amen!
