Not so long ago, I came out of the store, where a cashier gave me a wish: «Have a good luck!» and I thought for a moment. People are pronouncing so many nominal words nowadays, that your are bathing in them, like in the ocean. For a 100 years we could build a wonderful life for all people on earth, if only we collected all these good words and wishes together. But all is happening the opposite way round. Though unbelievers also have «holy» faith in these wishes, they can die of cancer the same day, or get into a car accident. They don’t analyze these words, they just believe them the same way, as they believe witches and magicians. People don’t analyze the tragedies deeply, they only look at the technical side of the case — for example, why the car breaks refused to act. But the sinners are not capable of such analysis, for they don’t know the truth. Why do I raise this subject? Because believers sometimes behave the same way as unbelievers do.
I remember a time, when my pastor was angry at christian «games», suchlike as greetings-wishes: «Be blessed, brother (sister)! or «Many blessings to you!» I was shocked by his words, because in fact, all christians were doing so. But what is «bad» about it? People of the world are doing the same. But my pastor answered: «If they (to whom these words are directed) live according according to the Gospel, only then they will be blessed». As for peoples’ nominal wishes — they are just empty sounds, which fail your expectations. Let’s think about it: when we proclaim something aloud — it’s like a word of faith or a prayer. But why then all these words don’t produce the expected results? Evidently, it’s because these words are just as «furniture» or a game, in which God doesn’t take part, as it is in case with unbelievers. In fact, it’s a lie, false expectations or, truly speaking, wickedness.
God is not obliged to bless anyone because of your wish or because of your pronounced words (the exception is, when you are desperately praying for a long time, for example, for your children). And visa versa, if the whole church headed by pastors and deacons will be praying against you, but you are living according to the Word of God and His will — receive your blessings! God definitely said in His Word, who can count on His blessings, and when he can do it. And our great wishes and desires are of no interest for Him. If you wish to be blessed — live according to His Word (the New Testament) and do His will by your life (be obedient to the voice of the Lord your God) — Deuteronomy chapter 28.
Why bathe in the ocean of illusions-proclamations, or unreal expectations? Why? Let the people of world do it! They have such a song: «Happiness exists, and it can not disappear». That’s why they go and quit their lives, because the happiness they are singing about is not a part of their own lives in reality!
When a believer persuades another believer that things will go smoothly in his life, I want «to shut the mouth» of such a prophets in a very rude way. It’s because the same «prophet» will soon be «soothing» another christian inches grief. And the first christian, on whose life the prophet proclaimed empty blessings, will lose his salvation, because of failed expectations. I don’t mean we should proclaim only negative things, thus ruining somebody’s faith. Not at all! We are speaking now about false things, which are flying from one mouth to another, just like soap bulbs, bringing people nothing good at all. If you say you were in interceding before God for my need, and you even fasted during your prayers, — this is another subject! Of course, the answer will come as a blessing. Do you feel the difference? In the first case, it sounds something like: «Brother, go away with peace from me, I proclaim on your life good things: feed yourself, warm yourself, and let God bless you!» We don’t want to think, why there is no result in such cases. Why should we? We can always refer to God’s will about this or that person. Some confessions have «jammed» everything into His will (including fighting with devil), and they are just watching, what is being happening around, just like infants. They say they look so insignificant before the face of God. But He delegated everything to you, and He is expecting from you the changes in you life circumstances, or in your country. You can sing day and night for 10 years long that «God is creating everything He wishes in Heavens and on earth» — but nothing will change, because it’s you, who must create things (according to the New Testament). God is the Master in Heavens, but here on earth He has to share His power with satan through the people, who are dedicated to demons. As for us, we have the great power through our faith in Jesus, including the power over demons (Luke 10:19). And the Gospel can not reach all people for 2000 years already, because christians are busy only with proclaiming words and expressing their «positive wishes» (such as «Be blessed, my brother/sister!»)! Amen!
